WOLVES - BURNLEY
Wolverhampton Wanderers have made a steady start on their return to the English Premier League. They go into the weekend in 11th place with five points but four of those have come in the last two matches. They grabbed an excellent 1-1 home draw with Manchester City and then left it late to get their first league win of the season 1-0 at West Ham United. Games have been tight and Wolves have only scored four league goals, two coming in the opening match against Everton. Both of their home league games have ended in draws. They drew 2-2 with Everton coming back from two down but gave away their lead over Manchester City. Home form has seen them unbeaten in their last 11 league games and they will be confident of getting three points from this game.
It's not been a good season for Burnley so far. They are already out of the Europa League failing to make the group stages after losing to Olympiakos in the play-off round. It's been even worse in the Premier League and the side that were in the top four last December and eventually finished 7th find themselves one from bottom in the table after four games with just one point and only three goals scored and none from their forward line. They opened with a goalless draw at Southampton but have lost their next three. Their once tight defence has gone AWOL with a 3-1 home loss to Watford followed by a 4-2 defeat at newly-promoted Fulham. Their final game before the international break saw them lose 2-0 at home to Manchester United. Their six-match Europa League campaign hasn't helped them but that's over now so no more excuses. Successive games against Wolves, Huddersfield and Cardiff have to produce some points. 10 games this season have failed to see them win a game in 90 minutes and their last 14 away league games have produced just three wins. Go for Wolves to inflict more misery on Burnley with a home win.
