Arsenal to win at Newcastle @ 87/100
The Gunners have built on the promise shown in a 3-2 loss at Chelsea to record back-to-back victories over West Ham and Cardiff and Unai Emery enthused: “We are evolving.” Alexandre Lacazette and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang were both on target in Wales and with Mesut Ozil and Aaron Ramsey also getting forward at every opportunity, Arsenal have the attacking firepower to edge out the struggling Magpies.
Brentford to beat Wigan @
4/5
Dean Smith’s side have rattled off three straight Championship wins at Griffin Park this season, scoring nine goals in the process, and look a team to follow with our football accumulator tips when on home turf. Getting French striker Neal Maupay back from suspension is a bonus and the Bees look well placed to mount a serious challenge to get in the play-offs this season.
Luton to beat Bristol Rovers @ 39/50
The Hatters are another team to start the season strongly when playing in front of their own fans, following up a rock-solid draw with Sunderland by beating both Southend and Shrewsbury at Kenilworth Road. Rovers are struggling to score more than one goal a game, managing that just once from seven League One fixtures, and that makes them vulnerable against a decent attacking team like Luton.
Crawley to beat Morecambe @ 87/100
We’ve already opposed Morecambe before in this season’s football accumulator tips and a record of six defeats in seven League Two games makes them worth taking on again here. The Shrimps have yet to pick up a point away from home, conceding 10 goals from three road trips. Crawley are coming off a nice win at Lincoln, handing the Imps their first defeat of the campaign in front of new manager Gabriele Cioffi.
Colchester to beat Cambridge @ 9/10
The U’s are among the favourites to gain promotion from League Two after picking up 12 points from seven matches, winning 3-1 at Cheltenham and drawing 1-1 at Tranmere in their last couple of games. Luke Norris has been in good form up front and midfielder Harry Pell will be hoping to score in a third straight fixture. Cambridge suffered a fourth defeat of the campaign when losing 2-1 at home to Carlisle last week.
